My countdowns, let me show you them
Apr. 4th, 2008 04:01 pmLess than three weeks until I'm in Chicago!*
Less than five hours until the new BSG!
Yaaaaaaaaaaay!
* Sekrit message to Pezzers: I was looking up info about Navy Pier, and I see they have a really cool-looking stained glass museum there! Free admission! ...Yes, I realize I may be the only person on the planet to use "really cool-looking" and "stained glass museum" in the same sentence. Er. Anyway, pretty!

Date: 2008-04-05 01:03 am (UTC)The giant swing is pretty okay, although fast enough and high enough to make me a little barfy-feeling. But seriously, we've got to find something better to do than Navy Pier. I was severely underwhemed and overcharged when I tried it.

And... when I attempted to go to the stained glass museum, they tried to charge me $10 admission? Maybe it's only free certain days...
The website claims it's free every day... Maybe you ran into some kind of scam artist>

Oof. Maybe not, then.

But...stained glass! Just for a few hours?
Other stuff that looks fun is the aquarium and natural history museum, but they look kind of expensive. Ummmm...any good parks?

Curse those stained-glass scam artists! Seriously, though, there was signage and stuff. Weird.

Okay, but we are NOT spending all day at Navy Pier, or my brain will asplode.

Huh. Odd. Well, as I said in the e-mail I just sent you, I can probably get Kate to go with me if if no one else will.

Well, no. I don't think even I could do that. Just a few hours.

Date: 2008-04-08 02:07 am (UTC)That'd be cool. If it is indeed cheap-as-free, I'd be interested in going, too. I was just put off by it last time due to unexpected charges and its apparent teeny-tiny-one-room-ness (but it sounds like it's bigger than I thought, anyway). So, yes, we can be stained-glass'd if you like.
