Less than three weeks until I'm in Chicago!*

Less than five hours until the new BSG!

Yaaaaaaaaaaay!

* Sekrit message to Pezzers: I was looking up info about Navy Pier, and I see they have a really cool-looking stained glass museum there! Free admission! ...Yes, I realize I may be the only person on the planet to use "really cool-looking" and "stained glass museum" in the same sentence. Er. Anyway, pretty!

I've been there. It is very pretty.

And I would use those two phrases in the same sentence too. But I'm certainly not normal.

Eee, what are you going to Chicago for? So jealous. And while bits of Navy Pier are kind of tacky, it's a lovely location by the lake and it has SHAKESPEARE.

The stained glass museum is AWESOME. Plan a couple hours for sure. At least half the pieces have quite detailed histories to read, particularly the windows & doors from local Victorian and Arts & Crafts buildings.

And yes, definitely try to hit Chicago Shakes. My favorite theatre space anywhere, and consistently great shows.

Ugh, Navy Pier is a big ol' wad o' tacky tourist trap. And... when I attempted to go to the stained glass museum, they tried to charge me $10 admission? Maybe it's only free certain days...

The giant swing is pretty okay, although fast enough and high enough to make me a little barfy-feeling. But seriously, we've got to find something better to do than Navy Pier. I was severely underwhemed and overcharged when I tried it.
