Nov. 3rd, 2008 06:14 pmI did all kinds of work today, so I'm rewarding myself with a mini-Bones marathon.
After four episodes total, I have to say...Zack is really, seriously creeping me out. NO, REALLY. It's not charming awkwardness, it's probably not even Asperger's, it's sociopathy. And he, uh, knows a lot about cannibalism.
Brennan and Booth get more Mulder and Scullyish with every episode. Look, they're even off to the PNW by Booth's request with practically no warning for Brennan! Although I get the impression he won't be ditching her a la Mulder too much. (BTW, I adore Brennan's boss-dude. Hee!)
So, yes, that's my night.
ETA: And the music on this show...who chooses those godawful rock songs? Ugh. I'm no fan of the most of the instrumentals, either. Bleh.

Zack is a strange bird indeed and probably has some sort of disorder, but I'm not sure what you mean by sociopath in this case.
Merely that I wouldn't be surprised to see him become a serial killer/mass murderer. I probably shouldn't conflate the terms. (But he does creep me out. Really.)
Goodman, aka Brennan's boss dude, rocks!
He may very well be my favorite character. ROCK.
I have a feeling the music gets better, but may not be the best judge.
I'm nine episodes in, and it seems to be getting steadily worse. :(
I did like "Bring on the Wonder" by Susan Enan, which you can listen to here.
That's not bad. I object to the fact that they play the music so loud you can hardly hear the dialogue sometimes, and that 99% of the time, the music has nothing to do with the subject at hand.
The oft-used music montage gets a bit wearing though.
I hate that part more than words can express.
