icepixieSo I actually really, really liked Sully. I felt horribly guilty about it, of course, because he's not Booth, but...he was kind of awesome. And funny. And sweet. And smart. And charmingly eccentric. Usually I hate the obvious outside-character-love interests, but I liked this guy. (Um, I'll totally run away on the boat with him, Brennan.) His only real failing was springing the boat thing on her after, what, six weeks of dating? Dood. He obviously doesn't know her at all.
I liked that they didn't have Booth being too too jealous. There was the "testosterone spill in aisle four," but beyond that, Booth did not make an ass out of himself at all, which...I don't think I've ever seen on a TV show in this kind of situation. Ha, and Sully totally wormed his secret crush out of him. (I'm kind of glad he didn't try to matchmake them at the end, either. Yay for leaving with dignity left intact.) I'm curious if Gordon Gordon will do the same...
Speaking of Gordon Gordon...Stephen Fry is freakin' awesome. That is all. ("Barbeque machine"!) I'm a little surprised at how into the whole therapy thing Booth got, though. I would have figured he'd be fighting it all the way. Was this the first time the wild socks were mentioned? I remember reading about them in fanfic, but had always wondered where that came from. And, uh...I kind of liked the staid tie better than his usual ones. I don't object to the patterns or the colors, but rather the thinness of them. Looks odd. (Speaking of ties and looking odd...Zack's haircut makes him look even younger than he did. I want to pinch his cheeks and send him back to his fifth-grade classroom.)
I wondered when they'd get around to having a string of murders based on one of Brennan's books. I mean, instant plot device right there. (I...want to buy her as a writer. But it's very, very hard. I would be surprised if the woman had ever read a novel after she turned, oh, twelve.)
Angela and Brennan sharing multiple TMI sessions...and Brennan and Sully's TMI with the "size" convo, not to mention the whole "making out at work" deal...was...horrifying, actually. Gah. I was going to be shocked, and then I remembered that this airs on Fox, and was suddenly thankful that this was the first time we'd been treated to that level of detail. (I'm kind of surprised we only heard about Angela and Hodgins in the storage closet, and didn't actually see it.)
In "The Girl in the Gator," that was the most obviously rubber alligator I have ever seen.
Caroline Julian is the best reocurring character ever.
Oof. Must go to bed now.

Alas, I missed the socks again. But I did see them in an episode I'm not sure you've gotten to you--though only because the camera focused on them for like five seconds.
I don't see how she can write all about her heroine's sexy FBI boyfriend and then pretend like nobody will notice it's Booth....
