O_O

Just finished Blackout. Am fifth on the waiting list for All Clear at the library. Don't think I can hold out that long. (It's not exactly a cliffhanger, and I think I've figured out one of the big mysteries, but there are definitely things I NEED ANSWERS to.)

This one definitely reminded me more of Doomsday Book than To Say Nothing of the Dog, which was all for the good. In fact, aside from Passage, which I'm not sure she'll ever top for me, I think it's my favorite of Willis's books.

Wow, we are SO DIFFERENT. To Say Nothing of the Dog narrowly beats Bellwether for my favorite Connie Willis, but only because of the seance bits, which are priceless. Passage is too tragic for my taste, and I can't remember if I finished Doomsday Book or not. I had resisted these two because the descriptions reminded me of a couple of her short stories that I didn't love. However, I think we can all agree that the writing is amazing, even if we don't have the same style preferences.
