I know, I know, I'm totally spamming you today, but I noticed that the dogwoods had burst into bloom practically overnight,* and so here are some photos.

(I have an inordinate fondness for shots like these, where blossoms and sky fill the whole frame. I'm not sure why.)

Pansies! I love their little faces.

Herb garden, somewhat re-arranged from the last time I took a picture of it.

I really want to take a picture of this without a reflection of the camera/me in it, but I have yet to figure out how to do so.

I don't know what these are, or even if they're wild or cultivated, but they're attractive, aren't they?

In other news, it is EIGHTY-NINE DEGREES RIGHT NOW. I very much approve of winter getting its butt out of here, but this is a little much for the beginning of April. (I think I said that last year. Last summer was particularly hellish. This does not bode well.)

* My mother claims they've been blooming for a week and I just haven't noticed, which...is not entirely unlikely, but I remain dubious.

I approve, especially of the reflection photo :) Unfortunately, there is no way to take that photo without having the camera in it. (Okay, so you could rig a mirror, but the mirror would have to be in the photo)

Ooo pretty! It's warmer there than it is here. Been having 'springlike' weather lately in LA. Looking forward to something above 65 soon.

Okay, that's it, I'm migrating south, NOW. Be there in five min.

(Tomorrow is supposed to be our first day above 70. I'm going to the beach!)

But in the South I would have air-conditioning!

That's another thing! In the South I would have a car! Bus stops are not air-conditioned!

And some days are hot enough that AC doesn't actually help very much...

Dude, when it's 95 here, all I have is my ceiling fan. I disbelieve your A/C woes. :D

Pretty! We are similarly hot today, but since it's only supposed to get into the 70s tomorrow we are just harshing it out sans AC. It's rough.
