Hot diggity dogwood

I know, I know, I'm totally spamming you today, but I noticed that the dogwoods had burst into bloom practically overnight,* and so here are some photos.

(I have an inordinate fondness for shots like these, where blossoms and sky fill the whole frame. I'm not sure why.)

Pansies! I love their little faces.

Herb garden, somewhat re-arranged from the last time I took a picture of it.

I really want to take a picture of this without a reflection of the camera/me in it, but I have yet to figure out how to do so.

I don't know what these are, or even if they're wild or cultivated, but they're attractive, aren't they?
In other news, it is EIGHTY-NINE DEGREES RIGHT NOW. I very much approve of winter getting its butt out of here, but this is a little much for the beginning of April. (I think I said that last year. Last summer was particularly hellish. This does not bode well.)
* My mother claims they've been blooming for a week and I just haven't noticed, which...is not entirely unlikely, but I remain dubious.
