Fairly useless entry
Dec. 1st, 2003 04:09 pmNine more days of classes. I'd like to be happy, but unfortunately, that means that I only have sixteen more days to do the final paper for Irish. Eeek.

*points to "current music" field* I wanna watch Northern Exposure now. Wish I had my tapes here... Oh, and Jon Stout has Twin Peaks DVDs. I may have to borrow them once Russell's done. Mmmm...the weirdness that is David Lynch, which equals creepy NX on crack. Woo-hoo.
--
In honor of Christmas, I changed my desktop picture to my holiday-ish one. Lookie.
--
And after this brief interlude, it's back to my history paper. I'm halfway done...

Date: 2003-12-04 01:53 pm (UTC)The chorus is great.
For some reason, I always seem to be reminded of Bruce Hornsby when I hear that song, even though musically the styles are quite different.
*has no idea who Bruce Hornsby is, but smiles and nods anyway* ;)

Becca! You're making me feel old again!
Anyway, here is a link to the Bruce Hornsby site (http://www.brucehornsby.com/music.asp). I have memories from the first couple of albums only - "The Way it Is" and "Scenes from the Southside".

I don't know about any of his more recent stuff, but I always liked the older "Bruce Hornsby and the Range" albums.

I only listened to stuff from the albums you mentioned, so I definitely don't have an opinion on which is better.

Then again, something like half of American high school students can't even recognize the Declaration of Independence or the Constitution when it's read to them. I suppose I'm asking too much.
And calling people "dude" makes me feel ancient! ;)
I was asking for that, wasn't I? ;)
