[livejournal.com profile] stars_like_dust, I got your card! Thanks! It's very cute. We're actually having fairly pleasant weather right now. It was 60F/15.5C, and it's supposed to be in the 50s for the next several days. Not tropical, but it could be worse. I'll send cold thoughts anyway, though. :)

Isn't there supposed to be snow and ice across the mid-west? Oh, that's right, you're probably home for Christmas aren't you? You hot weather loving southerner! ;)

But I'm not there, so I don't care! :)

Don't worry. I'm sure there'll be plenty for you when you get back in Feb and March! ;)

You betcha! Bring on spring!

Spring in Ohio! Should be fun. Slush. Rain. LOL!

January seemed to be a worse month for snow last year, so with any luck, I'm missing the worst of it...

Famous last words! *eg*

I think the entire eastern half of the US got more rain than we knew what to do with last spring/early summer...

*tries to remember*

Don't think we had as much as the previous spring, but we were still getting snow until April, so that's probably when you were getting rain.

I refuse to believe that north-central Ohio will have two winters like that in a row.

Okay. If you say so. *g*

The whole area was completlely soggy for months.

I do seem to remember thinking that it would have been a good time to plant grass. Hopefully it's like that again this spring - so I can plant more grass seed! Yes, I'm a homeowner. Boring, aren't I?

The challenge is in trying to make the lawn look decent. You seem to throw a whole lot of money at it, for not a whole lot of result. Doesn't really seem all that fair.

And no, it's not as much fun when you're the one who has to finish pushing the spreader/lawnmower/rake . . . You get the picture.

I think if/when I own a home, I may just seed the whole yard with wildflowers and see what happens... ;)

You'll get interesting results, that's for sure!

They mumble something about their backs not being up to it and leave me to finish the yard...

Believe me, I know how they feel!

Would still take a heck of a lot of gardening to keep that up!
