Ellen, Kate and I walked into the Wellness lounge for Stargate and found Toskhan and Lindsey in there doing this weird jumping thing on mats. I asked what it was, and at the "DDR!" Lindsey shouted, my first thought was "the East German Republic?" before it was explained that it was "Dance Dance Revolution."
Huh. So that's what it is.
Briefly:
- Serious "In the Line of Duty" flashbacks.
- The black guest star guy? Sounded waaaay too much like Shatner at times. "This...is....unacceptable!" He also looked like Yale from Earth 2.
-
tarzanic, I see what you mean about AT always having the Canadian accent. I totally heard it on "assume." All of the guest stars seemed especially Canadian tonight, for some reason.
- *snicker* at Sam's "cool" to the big drill.
- Speaking of the big drill, how did they avoid the magma flow when they went back up?
- So what the heck was the Goa'uld's name?
- Nice little ep overall; some good tie-up to the naquadria bomb thing, and yaya Tok'ra tunnelling crystals.
There's four or five inches of snow out there now. This is just the first of three storms predicted to cross across central Ohio this weekend. *sigh*

We don't know. She didn't say.

Ick. Stay warm and dry!

Date: 2004-01-25 04:52 pm (UTC)That too. Although I suppose a case could be made that there wasn't enough space between the drill and the surrounding dirt/rock for the magma to flow in once the front part of the drill got past. Still...
We don't know. She didn't say.
Yep. That was annoying.

Thanks. My roommate and I are hoping that the 4-8 inches of accumulating snow and the 1-3 inches of accumulating ice will be enough to cancel classes for tomorrow... ;)

Date: 2004-01-25 05:05 pm (UTC)But wouldn't the back of the drill been burning off? And what about when they went to go back up?
We're due to get a lot of snow, 6+ inches, on Tusday. Might be a good day to work from home. Hope you don't have to slug through the snow tomorrow.

Date: 2004-01-27 01:31 am (UTC)Hmmm, you're right. Was it long enough that some of it was still sticking out of the ground even at its deepest point? Then it would be passing by fast enough not to overheat, I suppose, although that wouldn't help when they stopped. Never mind. Yeah, it should've been burning up.

Thanks. I slogged through slush--the sidewalks were mostly shoveled. Middle Path was slightly less shoved, but at least it wans't icy.

Date: 2004-01-24 06:14 pm (UTC)I love that game!! It's so totally addictive too.
Michele and I were at MegaCon and saw all these people starring at a TV and doing weird things with their feet... we saw, and we got for the youth group - the kids actually fought over playing it. Until the mats broke.
